I recently converted from PC to Mac, there seems to be a large difference in how the two versions display video. The pc was near real time, the mac beta version 2.0.0.2 seems to be much slower. I have a new imac, intel based, the old pc was 4 years old and for skype video I wish I could go back, does anyone have any solutions that improve video performance? The sound is near real time.

I regularly do Skype Video with people from WIndows version and Skype with Video for MAC Beta.
I am sure Skype will make it perfect once it's relased as final smile.png
Beta = test version of software and neither near to be complete

Well, I suppose it's because for Mac Skype is beta. Let's hope the final version will behave better. It shouldn't be difficult.

Hi Hans,
What Cam are you using? I've personally tested Skype on lots of different cams and network configurations and I have only found this to happen when using really old hardware (low end G4 or a G3) or when I use a poor webcam - Can you please give us more information as to your hardware/internet setup?

Ryan.

I agree Ryan, with an intel mac and built in isight the video is much better than my Athlon 4000+ PC with logitech webcam.
