Full Version: "Check for Update" says I have the latest version. -I don't :)

I went into my Skype menu and selected "Check for Update." My web browser opened and I was taken to a screen that congratulated me and told me I had the latest version installed already.

Since I was already on the Skype website at this point I decided to browse the forums, -where I just read that the latest version is 2.0.0.3. I'm on 2.0.0.2.

Skype LIED to me! tongueout.png

(Not sure if this a bug in the software or in the website's code)

am not a mac user, am a windows user but here's what i notice:

when i click on check for update it checks for final release updates. i believe the mac 2.0 series is a beta series. i am using the windows beta series hence i too was incorrectly told i had the latest version.

since you're running the beta release which followed the latest final release skype tells you you have the latest version (i think it's only checking the final release versions)

you can download the version you are looking for here: http://www.skype.com/download/skype/macosx/20beta.html
