Full Version: Several issues

Hi,
I installed the new version a few days ago because I've got a lot of segmentation fault errors. I'm still with this error (mainly when I leave the machine unattended, after a few minutes the skype crashes).
I can live with that (at least, for now), however a new problem I have is that when I talk with somebody they can listen to me but they also listen their own voices in the call. I tweak here and there in the Volume Control (VIA 8237 ALSA Mixer), e.g. in the "Capture" tab with no possitive results.
Can anyone suggest a way to fix this? Do I need to upgrade additional soft?
Eg: I've got installed alsa-base 1.0.10-4ubuntu4, maybe I need to upgrade? I see some guys mentioning 1.0.11

Any advice, appreciated.

I have got a similar issue. After a few minutes on the phone I would stop hearing the other party despite the fact that others continue to hear me. I am using ALSA with a Bluetooth headset which worked fine in the previous version of Skype (v1.2.xxx).

Any idea what's going on? This is really annoying... The BETA version had the same issue so I was looking forward to the final release... To no avail it seems.

A. I am not promoting any other product. Have been a Skype customer for 2 years.
B. I am not denouncing Skype but am seeking a solution (see previous post).
C. Isn't this the community where you report issues? Please correct me if I am wrong.
D. This is a customer complaint rather a disrespectful note. Skype will understand that as they are a professional company.
E. Where should I report my issues if this is not the right place?

BTW: I have deleted the compromising comment.
