Hi there,

I have recently installed skype on my ubuntu. After I sign in I press the close button and skype disapears but in the system monitor i can see that it is still running and it is, as I can receive calls. Anyone knows what might be going wrong? I tried to uninstall it and install it again but the problem persists. I want to see the skype icon on the ubunut panel. How can I do that?

Thanks
Dimitris

It should pop up on default, if not, please file a report to Skype.

It must be a GNOME/UBUNTU issue.

Is the Skype icon still in the notification area (next to the clock)?
