Hi all,

Just to avoid confusion I would like to state out that once you have selected a Display Name to use on the forums you can not change it anymore. Also on the forums you are only required to submit your Skype username and password when signing in and only there!!! Thirdly your forum profile is not linked with your Skype profile thus changes to one is not reflected in the other.

Just a little recap on the forums.

• Your Skype profile is NOT linked to your forum profile. In other words any changes on your Skype profile is NOT reflected on the forum. The only exception is your Skype password what you use for signing in.
• Once you have chosen a Display Name on your first login, you can not change it. If you wish to change it please contact either an Administrator or me via PM with the desired display name and we will change it for you.
• The email address you have selected during your first login is used for all communications with you from the forum. All topic/forum subscriptions are sent to that email address. Also you can not change it, but if you wish to please contact either an Administrator or me via PM with the new email address.

If you don't know which email address the forum is using for you it is possible to check it at My Controls, at the right hand corner.

It seems very strange to have a system where a member can't change his own email address . Be that as it may, thank you for your assistance.

I agree it is strange that you cannot change your own profile details. Then you see an offer of help from the moderators.......

Skype don't bother to respond to support requests either....must be catching!

Hi, thought I would try this question here:

I cannot get changes to my skype profile accepted.

If I ask you what you see on layresearcher profile right now, you will see "join this public chat EATangga" but I have tried to change that ages ago and if I click on "Edit your Profile" now I see what I want to see and what I want others to see which is: "I am looking for good Forex traders to trade accounts and also for people who want accounts traded. The plan is very low risk trading and then being able to trade off your won money"

so I am wondering why aren't the changes being accepted after I click "Update"?---because they are in the system?

I have today joined the skype community and posted a topic. I am rather disturbed however, I have received an email with somebody elses topic. and it appear in my controls: CommunityWelcome, forceofdestiny.

Hi there, hopefully someone can help me. I've just bought a new lap top and am having problems with my microphones, both the inbuilt microphone in the laptop and my microphone headset. When I make calls to phones using skype and also the skype test call, my voice always breaks up and has a bit of static and background noise. I can always hear the other person on the phone however very clearly. However if I use either microphone to record something directly to the computer there are no problems, hence I think it may be a skype issue. Any suggestions?
