I assume you mean the API and not the Skype4COM lib interface?

Yes I mean the API. How do I find out group Id?

Currently there is no such API command, which would display the group(s), where a certain contact is added to. If you feel that this is a feature you would need to/like to have in Skype API, please file a Jira issue with this reuqest. Then also other developers could vote for it to show us how needed this kind of command would be.

I was reading your first question again and from here I understand that you are looking for an option to search for all your contacts. You can do that by using this command:

SEARCH FRIENDS
