Hi all,

Had 100% CPU usage on calls, especially to ordinary phones. Same for Firefox extension. Rolled back to 2.5, which is ok.

Toshiba Satelite
Windows XP

What version you used when you had 100% CPU usage?

How fast is your CPU?

Do you have SP2 and all other updates installed to your XP?
JimMNy
A MAC user called me on my PC which was running 2.6.0.81 of Skype Beta
We both have high speed Internet connections.

I also experienced 100 % CPU usage.
Upon intial ringing it took quite a few seconds for the Skype window to appear in front of my browser window to permit me to answer the call.
During call all other PC programs were almost so slow as to be stopped.

My PC:
1.7 GHz Pentium 4 with 768 MB RAM (350 MB utilized)
Win XP Pro with all updates from Microsoft
ZoneAlarm Firewall
Norton 2006 AntiVirus
Internet Explorer

Jim please give server rights to Skype.exe in Zone alarm and check that you have disabled Windows firewall.

Raul,

Thanks for the suggestion.

Nothing seems out-of-order on those two fronts.

I checked Zone Alarm Program Control/Programs
and it seems OK with these settings:
skype.exe has 3 green bars of "Trust" and green checkmarks for:
ACCESS both Trusted and Internet
SERVER both Trusted and Internet

In Zone Alarm Program Control/Components
SkypeIEPlugin.dll has a green checkmark

The Windows Firewall is OFF

Jim
