i run a SOCKS 5 'fire-wall'/tunnel 'proxy server' on top of the generic Windows 'fire-wall'....any-one know if this would adversely effect 'SkypeOut'....?...it some-times generates IP addresses that are different to yr standard ISP address.....i'm not sure if this may or may not be what is causing me problems?.....(SkypeOut 'blockage'!)

what IP address does SkypeOut look for......?.....re: i can dis-able proxy/LAN settings for that particular IP if necessary

it's a worry! worried.png

OK....just received a Skype/CS email re: frequent accnt blockages!
apparently: my SOCKS5 'fire-wall' is generating IP addresses which correspond to vrs 'anonymous' IP addresses that have been used for fraudulent purposes.
the 'blockages' seem to be generated 'automatically' by the Skype server when it recognises continual activity from those IP addresses.
so: i'm not blaming any particular person @ Skype...most of them seem fairly dedicated....
this is a sft/wr problem....caused by the Skype server's sft/wr....Windows XP professional or Windows NT?
(it'd have to be Windows! angry.png )

i have replied via email to Skype/CS: the best i can do, in future, is 'dis-able' the SOCKS5 'fire-wall' prior to using Skype or, alternatively, note the SkypeOut IP address as 'an exception' in the LAN 'settings'

repeat: i'm not blaming any person @ Skype...this problem is sft/wr
