Hello,

I am having difficulties getting Skype (Dynamic version 0.91.0.3) to run using my Debian (testing) distribution. I get the following error:

./skype: error while loading shared libraries: libqt-mt.so.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

There is indeed no libqt-mt library in /usr/lib...but after browsing the packages on www.debian.org it seems that no version exist for the testing branch of the Debian distribution. The /usr/lib directory does have a libqte-mt.so.3 library. Did anybody get 0.91.0.3 (dynamic) to run in Debian testing? I am quite confused with all those different qtlib versions.

(I realize this is more of a Debian related issue than a Skype issue, but I have more hope finding the solution here than in a Debian mailing list.)

Many thanks to the Skype team for this great piece of software!

libqte sounds like Qt Embedded, that's not what you need. You need the actual Qt 3 multithreaded libraries for testing. I'm happily working with it on Debian unstable and the package is called libqt3c102-mt here (I'm not sure what this 102 is about).

Excellent...I installed libqt3c102-mt, it works now!

Thanks Terminus!
