i have a wireless network at home, with two computers...

for the last year i have used skype to transfer files between the two computers...it works fantastically, as it relays the files through the router, so i get very fast transfer speeds

with the betas when i try to send a file sometimes it works as it always has, but...many many times it will say the my file is being relayed, and my max speed is 3kbs, rather than the 1000+kbs i get usually...i have to reboot both computers to maybe get it to work properly again...this has only happened with the 2.6 betas

this is very annoying...it should not be relaying my files, as the two users are on a wireless network...

i'm using the latest beta, windows xp home, sp2 on both machines

well its still going via SKYPE cloud/super nodes. And we hear a lot that file transfer is degraded. SKYPE is constantly working to improve it.

suggest you re-boot BOTH the routers and PCs, then try again.

we are on the SAME router. the file should not get transfered via the internet, just via the router. There is no way it should be relayed...it works perfectly with the last final release, but since using the 2.6 betas, on one or both computers, this problem has started.

thanks for the reply. i just want to emphasize that this has worked very well for the last year or so..this problem is NEW.
