Hi, to everyone who visits this topic! I am having a very annoying language problem. Here are the details...
Everything was fine since today when I launched Skype - the language supposed to be Bulgarian. I'm using my custom file but when Skype launches it starts in English.
I know English and I am capable to understand that language, but I prefer to use Skype in my mother's language. When I load my language file everything is OK but as soon as I close and launch Skype again the language is set to English and my custom language file disappears from the language list and I have to reload my file again. There is another situation... when I choose an officially supported (embedded) language different from English and then load my language everything works until I close and launch Skype and then the language is that embedded one which I have chosen before I loaded my custom language file. I have tried to delete both the config.xml and shared.xml files but nothing helped. I reinstalled Skype...again nothing! Please help

My Skype version is 2.6.0.81 Beta
My OS is Windows XP SP2

Please do something about this very annoying problem! Why is this happening? Everything was fine but one day without any reason this happened. I didn't touch anything. Can you tell me a way to fix this?

I was unable reproduce it at the moment.

I don't know how this happened-the problem just occured.One of my friends is using a custom language file too but he doesn't have this problem.Even if you can't reproduce it can you advice me what to do to fix this?

Perhaps there's something wrong with your language file. Can you upload it somewhere and post a link here so other's can try with your special language file?

The bulgarian translator of Skype gave me his language file (he doesn't have this problem with his file) and it still doesn't work.Thank you for your reply!!!

Good news!!!

Problem solved!!! Here's what I did.......
1. Log off
2. Close Skype
3. Uninstall Skype
4. Clean registry with registry cleaner
5. Install Skype 2.6.0.81 BETA with the English installer
6. Create new account
7. Configure new settings
8. Close Skype
9. Clean registry
10. Restart computer

.... and the big surprise is..... Skype is working with my custom language file again!
I'm so happy!
One more question:if I don't use my old Skype name anymore is my account in the forum with that Skype name going to be closed?

You have to send a PM to Jaanus Kase for such questions or ask Skype Support.

Well the problem is gone and I can again use my old Skype name without any problems .So I don't have to ask Jaanus.Thank you for your reply!
