Right now we do not support Symbian OS. We are working on it and in future there will be Skype for Symbian as well. Unfortunately we cannot estimate when it will be available for download.

I justed wanted to add my comments about this also. Yes, I would love to see it released for the P990i. A couple of my friends also have this phone (already Skype users on PC) and we had no idea there even was a mobile version available for Pocket PC! Great news that you are working on it, any rough timelines available? I would certainly use Skype a lot more given the freedom to use my mobile with it. Thanks.

Surely something's moved on from here. I've just been reviewing some of these entries and there have been calls for Skype on phones such as the P990i for a long time (longer that the phone's been on the market.

When is it going to be released?

I am very interested in Skype version for P990 (UIQ3).
All my friends having cell phone with Windows Mobile are already using Skype and I just look at them.

Sony Ericsson P990 is a much nicer phone than Windows Mobile. I should know, I have both a phone from HTC and the SE phone. I would like Skype on the P990 too!

I really don't understand why SKYPE is taking so long to release the skype version for P990i. Guys, if you want o use SKYPE on P990i, you can go for FRING.com. This is FREE s/w and can call GTALK / SKYPE and other IMs useres for free. I m using it and it works perfect.

SKYPE Team - plz do something ASAP else you may be loosing the share of pie.

Any news about Skype for UIQ3? I also need Skype for P990I UIQ3

I finally found a Skype version which will download onto my SE 990i however when all the Skype info is put in and sign in is punched it - you can see that the program is trying to connect however I get an notice that Skype is asking for a data connection which leads me to thinking that the internet server has not been able to make a setting to accomodate Skype as yet however I am working on it.
