The main reason I moved to Skype is for the encryption of all my correspondence. The only thing that Skype is missing, in terms of functionality, is "always on top" or "stay on top" or "keep on top of other windows." I was surprised to see version 3.0 of Skype still does not have this feature, which as a programmer I know is very simple to add. Therefore, being an opensource junkie, I found this....
http://sourceforge.net/projects/dm2/It runs in your system tray and allows you to assign any window as "always on top". You can also minimize any window to the tray, as well as assign opacity and processor priority. I could program this myself in an hour, but why bother. The DM2 does it all for me and it's completely free!!! Rock on you OpenSource Geeks! We're rooting for YOU!!!!!
