Hi,
I'm using the latest Skype on a Mac (v1.5.0.51) with a Logitech headset and I am having very inconsistent results using Skype for dialing DTMF codes into voice conferencing systems. I've searched the forums and I have seen some threads but no conclusive answers if this is a problem with the mac skype client or if it's an audio issue, etc.
Does anyone know any good information on this topic?
Thanks,
Steve
Not sure where you got 1.5.051.. web site still has
Official release. Version: 1.4.0.49. Release date: May 11, 2006
File name: Skype_1.4.0.49.dmg File size: 16.7 MB
However, I am getting the same results with 1.4.049 on Mac OSX 10.4.7. I have yet to download the Windows version and try from my XP Pro box.. but others have told me they CAN use the "*" key from WinBlows (oops.. did I say that out loud??

My main issue has been with the "#" key. Last Friday it would NOT work at all. Last night.. it worked fine. Only changes to my Mac was a reboot as PGP was flacky..
A call to my favorite ATT tech buddy asking if there was an external site to test the DTMF tones yielded a reply of "an IP phone.. those are the enemy!"

I submitted a support request but have not heard anything. Based on their "rules".. this could mean it is a known problem...
