I'm not be able to save options in skype 0.91 but I couldn't in early versions either.

Check the permissions/ownership of ~/.Skype and it's subdirectories/files, and make sure it is owned and writable by the user you are logged in as. To make sure, run this command as root:
CODE
chown -R username ~username/.Skype
Replace "username" with the name of the user.
