I'm wondering if there are any plans to include echo cancellation in Skype Video for Mac. I tried to conference with my friend and the feedback was extremely painful for her ears until I plugged in headphones.

I believe that iChat AV has echo cancellation. Not sure if Skype for Mac OS X or Skype on Windows does, though.

Believe it or not - but it's automatic in Skype currently. It is on, I know it's quite bad on the MacBook's - we use them every day here @ Skype - but the best thing to do is turn the volume down a little bit then the feedback isn't so bad.

I have just purchased am imac and macbook pro, the echo ( feed back) is quite bad between them. also when conferenceing with pc users the echo is unbearable, and this is using the imac who's mic and speekers are not as close as the macbook As said in other posts, there is no feedback in ichat, and while i appreciate it is automatic in this version of Skype, it does need some serious attention to make this program reach its potential.

I had my first mac -> mac skype video call yesterday and the other end was using a macbook pro (I have a mini + usb handset + isight so no feedback).

I could hear my voice coming back to me about 2 seconds later. That's a huge lag. Is the video delaying audio?
