My imported ringtone which has always worked great is totally distorted with this preview edition. Using XP home with standard Realtek sound.

"This problem is on known problems list." GOOD..thanks

Funny they worked the 1st day i installed 2.6, then went to hell.
4 out 6 of my custom sounds are warped. strange 2 work and they are all recorded the same.

EDIT CORRECTION.

1 that works is a much lower pitch then it should be. instead of a womens voice now sounds like a very butch girl or almost a mans voice.

Is there a roll back available to a previous good state until this problem is solved?
Please point me to it if available.

I don't know if this is possible but trying to reinstall version 2.5 over it or trying to live with this is the only 2 options I see.

Another possibility is that your USB port is underpowered. Check out this:

No this thread is about the ringtones, when you import your own wave files, that problem is caused probably by the player routine of sound files in Skype.
But sure not by underpowered USB port smile.png
