We are trying to update the latest version. However this error message appeared when we are trying to download the file.
Anyone can help?

go to control panel>internet options, and delete cookies and temp files.
download the Skype software again, but save it in a different folder.
Try running it again.

if you don't need/want to install the Skype Extras Manager, you might want to try the version of the Skype installer that is meant for Business use

I had the exact same problem.
To resolve the problem i used Mozilla Firefox (instead of internet explorer) to download the file and bingo it installed imediately with no problems
