I just became a Skype affiliate.

My question is do affiliates receive residual commissions on the USAGE?

Example---I get a customer who buys SkypeOut credits of $10---how is commission determined?

I have my own discount telecom business and offer other pc to phone carriers but I want to start to promote Skype to the foreign student market who are USA based that want to call home(overseas).

I currently have my own communications business and my products are primarily discount telecom services http://cutthatrate.com

The other carriers I represent pay according to the "usage".

Another question--- I get a customer who orders via my link...

Is that customer always my customer? Let's say they order credits again and DON'T order via my link.....

Does Skype consider that customer still my customer and I'll receive commissions?

The other affiliate carriers have a way to determine this of a customer by chance doesn't order via my link.

If not then Skype affiliate may not work for me.

If they click on your affiliate link and buy skypein, skypeout, voicemail or hardware within the cookie period (usually 90 days), then you will earn commission.

SkypeIn commissions @ the present % looks good.

SkypeOut's commissions are slim.

Any plans on any changes in teh structure to really make it worth while to promote Skype?
