Hey,
I am just getting started with the API, and I am a little confused about it. I program with Revolution (www.runrev.com), and it is capable of opening processes and reading and writing from them, so I beleive it will be compatible with Skype. I am pretty sure it will work similar to using Applescript on a Mac. (I am using a PC) I am just confused about the API. Where is the file I have to open to access the API? Is it part of the Skype program, because it would seem a bit reduntant to have a program that can make Skype calls if Skype has to be open anyway. Is there an executable that only contains the API and not the GUI?

Thank You,
Bridger

It doesn't exist but it has been requested,

You can add to the specifications here,
https://developer.skype.com/jira/browse/SPA-75

Currently Skype must be running in order to use the interface. You can find more information in the Developer Zone,

Hi there,

Thanks spud5 for summing up the current status. Bridger I would definitely invite you to post or at least vote in Jira about that point.

Regards,

Antoine
