We are looking to implement an aAsterisk PBX system and want to be able to use this to contact people on Skype. I have been told that this is not possible yet, but I was hoping that there may be someone out there that knows differently.

Take a look at http://www.chanskype.com/ it does the magic to connect asterisk with skype.

Yeah chanskype is great if you want to run friggin seperate VNCs for every outbound with dummy linux user acocunts...
And if you want to ask a question about the product you bought and don't care if it takes them 7 days to respond to it.
