Hi,
I use Skype 0.90.0.14 on my Mandrake 10.0 running KDE 3.2.
My computer is a workstation, so I shut it down when I don't use it.
The thing is, that KDE for some reason doesn't remember the
sound settings, I set.
When I want to use Skype, I have to:
1) click the KMix icon,
2) tell it to use the microphone for sound input (instead on line-in),
3) turn up the mic amplification so that people can actually hear me.
And next time I turn on my computer, I have to go through these
three steps again. I haven't figured out whether KDE itself can
remember the settings... :-(
My question is:
Is there a way for Skype to autonomously do this?
To set sound input to be from mic (naturally) and so on,
when Skype is used to call/be called,
and then perhaps reset the sound settings when a call is hung up?
Best regards
