Hi All,
I have a very nerving problem with the Skype login procedure.
I changed my Skype password with the proper form on the password request page today.
First question is: why does it take one hour to obtain the confirmation mail? (a security issue, or what ?? )
And then next problem: I loged in first on the skype webpage using my new password, which worked fine. After changing my password on my profile page on skype.com, I can't log in with my skype client anymore. But the changed password is valid, because I can still log in with this one to the profile page on skype.com
The only solution, (I figured out after some trys) wich now works, is to request a new password again an then log in with skype client first. But if I change now my password through the client, I'm not able to log in to my profile page on skype.com, because it says wrong password.
It could be also a security policy, but I've never read something about this on skype.com.
Thank's for answers

Hi Again :-),
I tried something and probably found a reason!
The password text field in the static qt version doesn't accept special charachters like for e.g. "?-:;,.))" etc. If I try to input one, the cursor doesn't move right for the next asterix. But I can definitly log in with my password on windows and over my browser. So this is a real bug in the program. Therefore I never could log in with a password with special charachters.
But because, I switched back to skype on windows, this dosn't hurry to be fixed for me under linux, anyway. :-)
Bye....

How can anyone threat them seriously if those stupid bastards don't even check if the LOGIN PROCEDURE WORKS?
Is "SPACE" a special character? First heard. Repair your BETA, skype. It's hard to try, without the possibility to LOG IN.
Imagine a computer made by Skype: Nice, shiny case. They just forgot to install a POWER button. What a pity ;p
