I have Skype running on my XP and OS X boxes... both see and can use my CA usb headset.

I also have SuSE 9.3 running skype but when I go to chnage the audio imput I get 4 selections that all look like this:

/dev/dsp1
/dev/dsp2
/dev/dsp3
/dev/dsp4

How do I find out which one is the headset and get it working? Thanks in advance for your help!

If you use alsa do a

CODE
/proc/asound/cards

which will produce an output similar to this:

CODE
0 [SN25P          ]: ICE1724 - Shuttle SN25P

                     Shuttle SN25P at 0xa000, irq 217

1 [Headset        ]: USB-Audio - Logitech USB Headset

Logitech Logitech USB Headset at usb-0000:00:02.0-1, full speed

Now you know which device is your headset.

In 1.3 you will be able to use the Real names of the devices with alsa.

9.3 uses asound not alsa.
