Full Version: mic no sound?!

hi guys,

i´ve installed the newest version of skype (debian package) no problem works fine i can hear my partner but he didn´t hear me!
I´ve checked my alsa config via kmix and alsamixer but all essential for my mic is turned on!

I use alsa and the alsa-oss emulation.
My soundcard is an:

What dist? Does capturing sound work with other applications?

iam using debian sarge/etch with hmm 1.0.11-2 alsa. Capuring sound whith krecord and audacity doesn´t work *strange*

I'm having the same problem. (I'm running on Gentoo - 2.6.15-gentoo-r1)

I can hear myself(in my headphones) if I talk to the mic without skype, but during calls the other person can hear me.

your mixer setup incorrect. you at least mustn't hear own voice in headphone - you should mute mic (green) and select it for AD-source (red) (kmixer)

i solved my problem.

I´ve tried to use another mic in the switches section and selected the mic1 than i turned the capture and record on (the red light) smile.png
