The one feature that I would really like to see is custom tabs.

I have custom tabs setup in MSN messenger and we have some for Jabber and accessing those custom tabs is one of my most frequent uses of MSN.

With custom tabs the software becomes more than just a chat tool, it becomes a near infinitely extensible portal.

The tabs in MSN are just web pages. Just set it so that we can in a local configuration add our own tabs to display specific urls. It is up to the developer of the web page to format it so that it fits niocely in a small tab.

Custom tabs are nice but such an pain to setup in MSN. I use tabmgr to get my custom tabs in MSN. http://www.msnfanatic.com/tabserv/
