what's the difference between them? I found they're both the skype application, which can run on the Linux system.
Can anyone help me?

Both are the same program, just packed in a different way. If you don't use RedHat-like distribution (incl. Mandrake, PLD, SuSE...), you'd prefer the tar.bz2 package.

BTW. Those two have something in common: neither works wink.png
