I love skype (I think that knowing more girls via voice/im is a noble aim :-). Anyway, I'm looking for ways to help this project. Is anything we (as a open source community) can do to help skype?

Maybe hacking code can't be done due to legal rights (btw dual licensing the code as Trolltech does sure improves bugfixes and feature additions) but is there some other ways we could contribute?

One way you surely can contribute is get all your friends (whatever platform) on Skype. And code hacking is going to possible for you when we release the API (exact date yet unknown) and you can integrate Skype in whatever other apps - e.g. have "Skype Name" as an addressbook field so that you can call/IM that person.
