my only running system in the moment is my suse 9.0 system. Skype works fine in my windows system, but in Linux it can not connect. I am behind a university proxy and i set already the environment variables to my proxy (port 8080). my browsers work fine with the settings. i have also opera set up with my proxy but still skype can not get through. the firewall is also not active in the moment.
I am not really sure if skype detects the proxy settings right, because in windows it works.
furthermore the really ugly thing about skype is...sorry for this...that you can not access the menu tools/options until you're connected. so i can not change the proxy settings in skype by hand....or is there a way to do this?
maybe someone can help me...i would be really great, because its my only connection back home
