I have a user that I invited showing as pending.
They no longer use the name in question and have responded under their new name.
I can see no way to remove this username from my control panel pending list.

Any way this can be done ?

I have similar problem removing about 3 user pending

No, you can not remove pending users. They have to accept the invitation first.
