I've installed Skype on my Pocket PC (Fujitsu-Siemens Pocket LOOX 420) and I've tried to launch it using an existing account but nothing to do: even if username e password are correct, Skype says it can't connect to Internet, there isn't Skype net.
But I'm sure my Pocket PC is connected via ActiveSync to my PC and I'm sure it's connected to Internet because I can connect to www.google.it via browser!
What can I do?

Hi,
Problem is that you are using ActiveSync for connection, that blocks Skype packets. To use Skype you should connect your device to internet using wifi

Really?? Why should ActiveSync block Skype data?! I haven't WiFi.. :-(
Haven't I any other solutions?

ActiveSync doesn't block specially Skype, but it blocks some resources usage that Skype would need for connection.
Instead of wifi it is also possible to use Bluetooth modem if you have one.

Is there a solution for this thing?
You know, many people use Pocket PC connecting it to Internet via ActiveSync, that's typical!
Don't you think to adjust this thing? :-O

Hi
I have the same problem. I have issues using wifi and an ad-hoc connection so would perfer to use bluetooth but as far as i know the only way to connect and use a pc's internet connection is through activesync. It currently works fine for internet when connected and Skype connects fine but just not connect to calls. Does anyone know if there is a way to bypass activesync so that it doent block the ports required either through an alternative program or proxy etc.
Cheers
