I recently moved to a new apartment that gets terrible mobile phone service. Given that I am locked into a contract, I am interested in ways to improve the situation w/o resorting to a land line. So integrating with Skype comes to mind.

I just wanted to ask the forum if this following idea is feasable and what the problems would be. I would like to forward all calls from my mobile phone to a Skype account while in the apartment (possible through Cingular). Then I would like to use Skype to place outgoing phone calls, but have the outgoing "number" be my mobile phone number.

Also is Skype available through wifi, or does one have to link to a PC. Thank you.

Forwarding your calls to SkypeIN you pay the 'normal' mobile to landline fee!

SkypeOut is not able to show 'your number'.

You have Skype just fine on Wi-Fi.
