Hi all,

At work we use ACT! as a contact manager in the sales team, and after googling for a long time and searching on skype.com and act.com, I can't seem to find a plugin to tie ACT and Skype together.

Does anyone know how to do this?

It is relatively easy to setup a field for callto: protocol. Click it and the Skype dialer pops up and dials the number. It should be, however, that the dialer launches Skype with ANY phone number in the contact record, using h.232, but that doesn't work as far as I can tell.

Let me know what you may have learned.

I believe that you use ACT! and Skype and need something to tie these two groovy applications together.

You didn't mention which version of ACT! are you using...

There is an Add-On for Skype that I have written that works perfectly with ACT! Version 6.0 and below. If you are using ACT! 2005 and up (The new fangled version) then you would benefit from our Skype Autodialer. Please review the DOWNLOADS (Extras) for more information.

we had the same problem, so we added skype support to our Tapi.NET for ACT

we support
Incoming Contact poping with history and followup, outgoing calls with history + followup, Workflow functions (clearing of activitys) seting skype to busy if you are making a phonecall over the landline... and more.
