Full Version: Skype on the iPAQ 2215?

I loaded the version on the PPC Skype release page for the h4150, as it has the same CPU. I have a Sandisk WiFi card so I can do WiFi with the 2215.

I can connect fine, and I can hear the other party fine, but they can't hear me. They get dribs and drabs of audio.

Could this be because of the audio Input settings in the PPC? Mine's set to 11,025 Hz, 8 Bit (voice recording format). Don't know if Skype uses this setting or now, but thought I'd check, just in case.

Is there anything else I can try to get voice working?

I'm on PPC version 4.20 (the 1.10 ROM update).

Also, where's the download location for the current beta?

Thanks...Tom

Thanks

Must be a problem with the WiFi card. Mine works perfectly with a Linksys WCF12 Compact Flash card and a friend uses his 2210 with an old Socket CF card. We both tried to install the SanDisk 256Mb + WiFi SD card without success. I got the Linksys card really cheap on the net. Just shop around.

I did get the WiFi functionality of the SanDisk card to work on an old iPaq h3970 running WM 2003, but Skype is unusable. Again, I suspect this is the fault of the card as the 3970 has a 400MHz processor and should cope easily. When I try and play music from my PC acccross the WiFi using the SanDisk card playback is also disrupted. Definitely a dodgy card. No wonder SanDisk have dropped it and are ignoring all complaints.

Also tried the SanDisk card on a Qtek s100. Connects to network, but Skype unusable.
