Hello,
I started Skype and I left it running in the background. However, after suspend mode, skype closed itself. I uses Treo 700w with 1xEVDO. Is there a solution or workaround to this problem? I think the expected behaviour is Skype should stays running even after suspend mode.
THanks
hannes

Hi,
Please elaborate, did Skype quit totally or just went to offline?

I'm not sure how much I can elaborate except I left it running in the background and It terminated itself even though it did not indicate any error messages.

I'm not sure if this is the case here, but in low memory conditions Windows CE automatically shuts down background applications. Could this have been the case?

I do not think it is the case. Because the device does not have anything running in the background exept Skype. Plenty of free memory. I think. Skype terminated abnormally. Also, I noticed that if Skype left in the background for a considerable time, as soon as you click on it to bring it to the forgeground, it crashes.

Where do you have Skype installed? In main memory or in external flash card? Some devices have problems with externally stored applications. If this is the case you can try to install Skype in internal memory, or try the following:
Change the registry value
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESystemStorageManagerPNPWaitIODelay to 1 with for example
http://www.breaksoft.com/Blog/Utilities/20...try_Editor.aspx
If this didn't work or the registry key wasn't present, maybe changing
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESystemStorageManagerPNPUnloadDelay to 4096 could help.
