Hi,

so it occured to me - lost password, no email at registration; it is important for me to keep the the account name. I read some discussion on lost Skype passwords and I give up looking for the way to reveal it (unless I figure out what it could be). Instead I want to do something else - not sure whether anyone here asked.

In my current Windows instance Skype is logging in automatically with no problem. But it is time to reinstall the system.

Is there a way to transfer complete stuff required for successful authorization?

What I tried:

- installing Skype on PC#2
- export my Skype regedit HKLM/HKCU branches: /SOFTWARE/Skype and import them on the PC#2
- moving %HOMEPATH%\Application Data\Skype and %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Application Data\Skype directories to PC#2
- edited config.xml by adjusting the paths (Windows username) respectively

but after all is done and running Skype on PC#2, it reports 'your Skype name and password were not recognised', and below showing my nick and empty password box.

I suppose there was kind of problem with moving AES keys hidden somewhere in the system since the hash is already included with config.xml

Anyway if anyone knows the solution, please help.

Thanks
_Sylwia
