I have a Sony Vaio running Windows XP. I have a Logitech Quickcam installed. I regularly have made video calls with 2 persons both of whom have MacBooks. Everything has worked fine, easy, no issues. This past weekend I went through a ridiculously difficult install of a HP wireless printer, which I finally returned but that's a story for another forum. Now my INCOMING VIDEO is just a black box from both sources. I'm guessing that it's blocked as the result of a changed setting. Both persons can see & hear me fine, I can hear them. What might be causing the non-incoming video?

The first thing to do is to step back to 4.0.0.226 which you can get here:

I had the same problem as the original poster and downgraded, but it still does not work. Any suggestions?

I've downgraded Skype from ver.4.1.0.179 to ver.4.0.0.226 and it worked for me. Incomming video is no longer blocked.
OS: Windows XP Home edition sp3
Camera: Logitech Pro 9000
For me it looks to be a bug in the software since I could take pictures of the incomming vidoestream and see them properly. But in the long run I got tired of pushing the "take picture" button so I downgraded... ;-)
Tanks for your advice Bill and your user "bill-on-skype-video" for testing videostreaming is great!! Why haven't Skype.com implemented this test beats me?!?

Erik
