I cannot hear nothing in skype connecting to echo123
I used skype or aoss skype to call the application and connect to echo123.
aoss skype brings no error message but no sound neither - the .asoundrc is configured as suggested below- ,
meanwhile "skype" errors after 1 second, and no sound is heard anymore.
The error message is:read error, res = -1 , handle = 26
after reconnecting comes:
/dev/dsp-1: Das Gerät oder die Ressource ist belegt

Testing the sound card and alsa full duplex succeeded, after having configured the the mixer like it was
described in the faq above.
arecord -D plughw:0,0 RecTest.wav
aplay -D plughw:0,0 RecTest.wav

I use Debian sarge with dpkg -i skype_1.2.0.18-1_i386.deb, Cirrus Logic CS 4614/22/24 [CrystalClear SoundFusion Audio Accelerator] (rev 01 , driver snd_cs46xx. I guess I have the pritty same problem as someone here

Is it definitely true that I can not use skype within this constellation?
And can anybody say me what is the reason for this?
Have you heard of any free software project been initiated as a replacement for this, cause this seems sound as a bad joke.
