I got this message from someone I don't know on Skype. I assume I should block the person because it sounds fishy to me.

I sure would not act on this message. This does not sound like a method that Microsoft uses for notification. DON'T DO IT!!!

I got it too, but I'm deleting it from my window.
If you Google this whole url, the only thing you get is this forum. If it was really from Skype or Windows, they would surely have at least one post.

1. Moving the topic to security is fine, but please post a link to the new location in your notice that you were moving it away from the posting location.
2. You say this is a well known scam. It would be more helpful if you said something like DO NOT click this link and do not click on "add to contacts." as this scam note that came via on Skype requested. We need specifics not general answers like this is a well known scam. It is not well known to those of us who are asking!
