I have a laptop (asus a7j) and i have problem with output audio with SONY DR 220. I can not speak (I hear the other, but he does not hear me through headphones)
Actually that's an audio input issue - you need to select your headset mic as an input. This was explained earlier in the 2.1 Pulseaudio feedback thread.
