Hi

I'm trying to add my VAT number to my account but it's not recognized. I've tried every combination I can think:

GB-123 4567 89
GB123 4567 89
GB 123 4567 89
GB123456789

As far as I know we haven't been kicked out of the EU. My GB VAT number is of the format 123 4567 89. Any ideas?

I think the EU VAT code is different from the UK VAT Registration Number. On our account we have our VAT Reg No. listed as 123 4567 89, but the EU VAT code is a different number, in the format GBnnnnnnnnn.

I'm sure I didn't enter an EU number when I created our account, I just added our UK VAT Reg No, so I guess the system has added the EU information at a later date.

My VAT Code GB123456789 (format) works just fine on the control panel.

Maybe you've been issued a fake VAT code and have been sending all of your VAT to a crook's account. Never mind the real HMRC will probably be understanding about paying them back - Lol
