Last night I installed Skype for Linux Fedora Core 4 from binary file.
I install OK and ran once. Now I can't get the main GUI to come up.
Skype starts with no error, but no GUI.
I think it is because I configured something wrong. So how can I
get back to defaults? I can login to Skype.com.

I checked:
$ rpm -aq | grep qt
39:qt-3.3.4-14
63:PyQt-3.14.1-1
71:qt-MySQL-3.3.4-14
384:qt-devel-3.3.4-14
560:qt-designer-3.3.4-14
604:qt-config-3.3.4-14
773:PyQt-devel-3.14.1-1
823:PyQt-examples-3.14.1-1
1230:qt-ODBC-3.3.4-14
1491:qt-PostgreSQL-3.3.4-14
These came with FC4.
Do I need to update them?

I did. No error messages at all. Does Skype put his errors somewhere else?
I removed Skype and reinstall with no difference. I think the problem
is at skype.com. If I understand it, they are running a Skype Server?
So I am not going pier to pier, right?
I tried executing skype on a VT Console and it started and then shortly
stopped. Which makes sense, if skype is a GUI program. So I don't
count this as an error.
I wish there where better diagnotics for skype.

OK guys, thanks for your help. I removed my ~/.Skype directory and that
fixed it. I believe I clicked 'Dont display menu' and that caused my problem.
Thanks again.
