I received a message through Skype that is requesting that I click on a file to update Skype and was given an update link to add as a contact. How do I know it is really from Skype?
Is is safe to post that information in this forum?

You'll know it's a real skype thing 'cause it will never use the chat. You can update skype by going to 'help' menu and choosing 'check for updates'. Never accept a file from an unknown contact, even if that contact claims to be a legal one.
