I have installed the latest Skype drivers and my pc has 2 gb ram and the latest Logitec drivers for my web cam. I have a legacy video capture device and it shows to be a wdm video for windows which may not be supported by Skype. Can I download another video driver that will work without freezing my system?

Yes, you can try to download another video driver that will work. If it doesn't, then try a new webcam.
