My account has been blocked despite having €8.12 in SkypeOut credit. I've submitted two support tickets but to no avail / no response. Does anyone have any ideas how I can get this re-enabled?

I have the same problem. My skype account was suddenly blocked without a single explanation. It seems that this is a common problem of skype as many users reported the same issues.
My skype id is thebigcollapse. Hope someof staff members could help. I still has more than $7 in my account.

I have had my account blocked since Monday 23-1-06. I have no idea why, have credit in my Skype Out Account and have sent many requests for assistance but had no reply!
Does anyone know how to re-activate my account or can any Skype Staff PLEASE respond to my requests for assistance!

UNFORTUNATLY AT THIS MOMENT I AM EXPERIENING THE SAME PROBLEM !!!
I HAD SENT SEVERAL MAIL TO THE SUPPORT TEAM AND STILL HAVE NO ANSWER IN MY MAIL BOX ! ( VERY WEAK SERVICE)

Good news!
I sent an e-mail to Andres and he has rectified the problem with my Skype Out. It's a good job that I found this forum otherwise I would still be waiting to hear back from anyone at Skype using the 'Submit a request for Assistance' facility. Over 5 days without response!
It seems that my account was blocked because it was 'flagged for verification by mistake' whatever that means!
If anyone has a similar fault I would recommend e-mailing Andres as he rectified the problem quickly and efficiently.
Many thanks Andres, I can happily save money on my calls once again!

Feb 1st and still no reply from Skype support. This customer service has got to be the worst I have ever experienced in my life. Skype are quite punctual at taking your money but if you have a problem you can forget about getting it fixed

They took 2 weeks to get back to me from the actual Skype 'submit support request' but I sent an e-mail to Andres who un-blocked me last Saturday, so a mere 5 days!

Good luck and I understand the frustration! They will get back to you, just not in the 48 hours quoted!

I suggest that you e-mail Andress (You will see his name above)
He was very helpful. My account was blocked because of a security issue. Apparently I had used my card twice in the same day and this had flagged up a security risk and my account was blocked. They will get back to you but be warned that they take weeks not days! Good luck!

I've suscribed yesterday and my account has been blocked despite having 6.71£ in SkypeOut credit .
When I try to call I get a message saying that i haven't any credit to call, and when i try to upgrade i'm told that i have the maximum credit available
I've submitted two support tickets but without any response. Does anyone have any ideas how I can get this enabled?

It is probably related to the server issue of a Monday.
Please try to quit Skype from the taskbar and log on again.
You might need to do that more then once, though if you receive the specific message "blocked", please go here http://support.skype.com/?_a=tickets&_m=submit and submit a ticket to Billing/Payments with full details, Skype needs them to look into your problem. Note that a reply can take 2-4 working days.

Hello wisheey,
Your account is not blocked, there is an error indicating that there was a connection problem during the call or at call setup.
First please try to delete shared.xml as this causes an effective refresh in Skype's data traversal information.
The procedure is as follows:
* Close Skype
* Locate the shared.xml file:
C:Documents and SettingsYour Windows UsernameApplication DataSkypeshared.xml
(showing hidden folders and files has to be turned on)
* Delete shared.xml
* Start Skype (shared.xml will be recreated).
Also please make sure your firewall/router is configured in accordance to Skype's connection userguides available here:
http://www.skype.com/help/guides/firewall.html
If the problem persists, please contact your ISP (internet service provider) for further assistance.

My account was blocked because my PayPal got locked because some jack*** double charged my account when I made an online purchase. PayPal initiated a fraud lockdown of my account to protect my funds and my Skype was restored when my PayPal was returned to it's unblocked state.

My account has been blocked again. I believ because of Skypes security issues. I tend to buy two lots of credit at the same time which I believe messes up te Skype System. Anyway, Andress was very efficient last time and I've e-mailed him so lets see what happens!

It's now been un-blocked 7-3-06. Apparently there was a recall on my credit card although my card was authorised and my bank have confirmed that they did not ask for a recall. I've used paypal this time (With the same credit card) and that has authorised my credit. Let's se what happens! Andress was very helpful and efficient as always and un-blocked my account quickly. Many thans Andress!

Ditto a lot of the above. My Skype Out account has been giving me a 9403 error since Monday night (if not before). Since then two emails to customer support have yielded nothing.
I thought that Skype's PDA solution was the answer to my phone service needs, but if this is what there customer service is like I'm going to look elsewhere.

Despite the fact I have sent several tickets regarding my blocked account (Error 9403), Skype has NOT contacted me yet. I use Skype as my primary mean of contact, through 2 different phone numbers, one in the U.S. and another in Brazil. I really urge somebody to at least provide me with some feedback, cause and solution for my problem.

my skype username is maqroll2005. I bought 10Euro traffic with online bank from Italy. I've received the confirmation email "our transaction has cleared, and your Skype order has been successfully completed.".
I can see my 10.00 Euro credit on upper left corner of Skype but when I try to telephone with skypeout I receive the message Error #9407 your account has been blocked.. I've reloaded skype, rebooted the machine but nothing happened.
I'm afraid the error depends from the fact that I call from Egypt (where I live, and the reason why I use skype to call back home) while the on-line bank I made the transaction from is Italian (as me...).
I've tried to submit a ticket but I'm redirected to a general support page.
Could you please assit me with this issue?

My account has been blocked due to "fraudulent charges" according to the message. However there were no fraudulent charges made, I only used my credit card twice on Skype. Otherwise I have been using my credit card for every-day purchases. I e-mailed customer services twice: first 3 weeks ago, second time about a week ago and got absolutely no answer. My account still has over $4 credit. I am about to totally give up on Skype and will try Yahoo's messenger with voice service which has similarly low rates to that of SkypeOut. In fact, their rates are a little bit cheaper in my case.

I encourage every one frusrated with Skype inept customer service department to try an alternative servie. I don't think Skype will take notice unless real paying customers, like us, will head towards the exit en masse and go over to the competitors desk. Unfortunately, Skype leaves us with no other choice.
