Hi. New to Skype and this forum, so please bare with me. I have an Audioline Euro 300S cordles DECT VoIP telephone. Windows XP. Installed Skype, then software for phone and finally plugged in phone after required initial battery recharge. Was all excited... But nothing doing!

"USB Missing" on display and although I have tried every available USB port (hub, back PC, front PC) there is nothing doing. Only "help" in the operating instructions is that USB is not plugged in correctly! Duh!

Please can anyone tell me how to "prove" what the fault may be? And how do I solve this problem? At the moment, I can see/hear my cousin via speakers and Skype interface but cannot speak to him, just send instant messages! TIA wasntme.png

Maybe you need to upgrade the software first.

Thanks for replying! Do you mean the Skype software or the software for the phone? I have done the latter, but to no avail. The fault appears to be with either the USB cable/connection or with the modem into which the USB is plugged. Do you know if there is any way of finding which it may be? TIA

I indeed meant the software for the phone. I am truly sorry this did not help.

You can try a different usb cable or trey it with a different account on a different computer.

Otherwise it might be wise to contact the manufacturer of the phone.

Thanks for your input, Ike. I have sent the phone back and just hope to get a credit towards an alternative and better VoIP dual phone. Cannot recommend Audioline after this experience! no.png Cheers mate! smile.png
