Is there a SkypeMate *.conf file for Fedora3? I need to set USB as the default device.
Windows was easy, right-click, check a box, done. I dont see were to set any option in the Linux version. Any help would be greatly appriciated.

Nope, I've bloody searched for hours for something like that. Well, let me say, nothing that I could find.
It seems that SkypeMate is a single binary file, and that's it. As for switching from PSTN to USB... ...I just wrote yealink (for the second time), the author of the article in LinuxJournal, as well as the editor of linux journal. Hopefully they will reply with a good answer. If so I posted my findings here.
*cheers

Any update on this? I'm not sure the author of the Linux Journal article has this working either. He says 'you may want to set up speed-dial numbers for your contacts list', but he should have known you cannot do this on Skype on Linux (v. 1.2.0.18) through the normal interface (I think there's some API hack somewhere, but that's a pain), nor does he go into any detail about actually dialling out, receiving calls from Skype contacts, or switching between PSTN (line) and USB (for Skype) , which doesn't work on my FC3 system. PSTN (line) comes on by default and works fine, but that's not what I want... on Windows I can indeed toggle between the two using * on my handset or by changing it using Skypemate: no such luck on Fedora.
