Same old story... IT wants to shut Skype off. Network serves 100 stations 3 T1 lines coming in keeps it all warm :-) So here is my question(s)
1. Is it really true that the Skype network can turn any of our in building computers into supernodes and thus cripple our network from a bandwidth perspective? Can the user control this at all?
2. Is there any way to isolate Skype on our network? Like establish a Skype center in the building that preserves the rest of the network but gets us access to those sweet T1's?
3. Or is our best option to run a DSL line in here and set up a seperate computer?
Thanks...
