Hi,
I'm using the latest skype beta but it cant detect my sound devices or get them working. Audio works fine otherwise in other programs. Why is it that skype only has PulseAudio Server(local) listed in the audio devices? Why can't it use the HDA Intel device that the OS is using? Or is there a way to force skype to use whatever the system is providing?
I'm using sabayon 5.

Please, read the forums about pulse audio and you will not only understand why, but also find out how to solve your issues.
The topic has been uner discussion for the last year may be.
