Hi all,
i updated to v 4.1.0.166 yesterday and mcafee warned me that something wanted to change/update my registry. since this occurred immediately after downloading and installing the new skype i allowed it. today when i went to make a call, for the 1st time since upgrading, a new contact warning came up. it had the name of a registry key as the contact in a window like all the other contacts. It came with a warning in the box on the right that a virus had contaminated my visa os. THe message is below. it had an link to follow for instructions to fix this but the link looked suspicious so i did not follow it. i then deleted the contact and a report abuse window popped up which i submitted. i have never seen a registry change with an update before but since I’m new to vista I figured why not.

I believed this to be a valid update as i was using skype when the do you went the newest version of skype window popped up so i figured it wasn't a scam. what’s up? I ran a full virus scan and nothing came up. is this registry change ok or bogus.

thanks

This is the messaage that appeared as the defalt contact when i opened skype after upgrading-i did not add this contact!
